“Confused by today’s world? That is what fear does, it confuses, divides, and separates, and it feels awful.
On the other hand, while watching the short, sweet video below, feel your feelings. Love feels simple, peaceful, joyful, and safe. Don’t say you ‘don’t know’ what to believe. Believe in Love!”

Afraid? Yes. Saturated? Me too. Trust me, I understand the desire to do something about the world and have an impact. For those of us who aren’t on a global stage, we need to do what we can locally. My contribution is launching a series of free and low-cost offerings for anyone interested in building up their Happiness and Resilience quotients, beginning this Veterans Day in the United States, November 11, 2025.
This summer, I also donated time to a pet project I called Keeping Love Alive Within Political Divide. Although in a short period of time, more than one family divided by politics was able to genuinely reconnect, it became apparent that without community support and easy access to messages of bridge-building and commonality, such efforts were bound to flounder.
Since last spring, as I’ve watched how divided our country and world have become, I’ve been focused even more on how to keep love alive within divide. I’ve realized that without more people committed to finding shared understanding, even in the smallest of ways, there isn’t enough cultural foundation to sustain progress in the face of such strong headwinds.
The commitment is simple: decide to find a way to understand and bridge this cultural cavern in whatever way you can. Literally with what shows up in front of you. As I launch free materials into the world on how to build happiness and resilience, it’s almost funny how hard this last year has been. Personally, globally… does it really matter? We’re all in the same soup, our soup.
Perhaps that’s the silver lining: we are all affected. Consequently, it might wake us up to where, when, how, and to what we’ve been giving our precious focus and attention to.
Remember, we all have enormous power in our attention and actions. Every click counts. Literally, every click tends to our future and is counted, tracked, and considered for future investment by executives.
So, if we’re truly interested in bridging the collective gap, let’s watch informed speakers focused on solutions, not unabated hatred and fear. Tune in to humor, sweetness, wonder, and hope. Give more attention to those who speak out and genuinely seek to mediate a way through. Choose them, over the loudest voices of division, in the content-sphere.
Maureen’s post above speaks directly to the critical challenge of keeping lightness and love alive within, as a strategy for well-being and as a service to others without.
Here are 3 Inner Mastery Strategies to Foster Happiness, Resilience, Connection, and Meaning
(Plus a Bonus Option!)
- If life is sweet and happy for you right now, enjoy it fully.
The world simply needs more joy, love, and gratitude.
If you’re only having small moments of happiness, relish them and replay them morning and night as a daily practice. - Socially influence the narrative.
Take deliberate action through what you click on, stream, upload, buy, consume, donate, or invest in.
Don’t underestimate the power of your selections — both your money and your attention are being noticed.
Do the same in live conversations. Let each engagement be a conscious choice that balances impact with realism, optimizing self and others, staying informed without overwhelm, and prioritizing health and wellness as non-negotiable. - When given the chance to communicate with someone who thinks differently, listen to understand first, then speak to be understood.
Being an invisible bridge builder means your primary focus is cultivating an inner atmosphere of presence, acceptance, tolerance, and brotherly love. Change can happen without a word being spoken.
Still feeling down? Enhance your morning and evening routines.
🌿In the morning: get sunlight in your eyes, drink water before caffeine, spend a few quiet moments in contemplation, and move your body, even briefly, before starting your day.
🌿In the evening: take time to unwind, recharge your body, and reflect on gratitude.
These simple habits pay huge dividends over time.
Advanced “Rock Star” Bonus
Decide to become an invisible Bridge Builder.
Show up as a mediator, a humble facilitator of commonality. Choose, daily, to avoid “othering” those who are not like you. This begins internally. Find what’s shared and loved in common, and build from there. I have dear friends and family who voted differently and think differently, and yet we share plenty of love, respect, and care to maintain our connection. Difference is not the problem. Someone is benefitting from all this division, and it’s not you, not us, and not the greater good.
I vote for the Greater Good!
